We comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.
1. Information we collect
From customers and senders
- Full name
- Phone number
- Email address (optional)
- Pickup and drop-off addresses
- Recipient name and phone number
- Package details (size, content notes, special instructions)
- Payment information (handled via Paystack — see "Third parties" below)
From riders / drivers
- Full name, phone number, login PIN
- Bank account details for salary payment
- Delivery activity, ratings, payouts, and pay-related notes
From staff
- Personal details (name, email, phone, emergency contact, date of birth, ID/BVN)
- Employment details (role, salary, start date)
- Bank account for salary payments
Automatically when you visit our website
- IP address, browser type, device type
- Pages visited, time spent, referring website
- Cookies set by Cloudflare for site security and performance
2. How we use your data
- To deliver your packages. Names, addresses, and phone numbers are shared with the assigned rider so they can complete the pickup and delivery.
- To communicate with you. We send WhatsApp messages, SMS, and emails about your booking, quote, delivery progress, payment, and post-delivery feedback request.
- To process payments. Payment details are passed to Paystack to charge cards or process bank transfers.
- To improve our service. We analyse delivery data, customer feedback, and ratings to train staff and improve operations.
- To comply with the law. We may share data with authorities if required by a valid court order or law enforcement request.
3. Legal basis for processing
- Contract — to fulfil the delivery you booked.
- Legitimate interest — to run and improve our business operations.
- Consent — for optional communications like newsletters (if applicable).
- Legal obligation — for tax, accounting, and regulatory compliance.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. How long we keep your data
- Order and delivery records: 7 years (for tax and accounting purposes under Nigerian law).
- Customer contact data: until you request deletion or 5 years after your last interaction with us.
- Staff and rider records: duration of employment + 7 years.
- Website cookies: 30 days unless otherwise stated.
6. Your rights under NDPR / NDPA
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention obligations).
- Object to processing for certain purposes.
- Withdraw consent at any time for processing based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
To exercise these rights, email us at support@nomadlogisticsolutions.com with "Data request" in the subject. We will respond within 30 days.
7. How we protect your data
- Data is stored on Cloudflare D1, encrypted at rest and in transit.
- Access to admin systems is password-protected, with audit logs of all sensitive actions.
- Payment data is never stored on our servers — Paystack handles all card and bank details.
- Staff with access to customer data sign confidentiality agreements.
8. Cookies
Our website uses minimal cookies for security (Cloudflare) and basic functionality. We do not currently use advertising or tracking cookies. By using our site you consent to these essential cookies.
9. Children's data
Our services are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
